Hormone Therapies
The New Fountain of Youth?
If you want to slow down or reverse the signs of aging, Hormonal Therapy may be able to help you.
As we get older, hormone levels naturally decline. As our hormone levels decline, we tend to lose that youthful glow and our energy levels decrease. One way to combat these unwelcome side-effects of growing older is to introduce Hormone Replacement Therapy into your beauty & wellness regimen.
Bio-Identical Hormones are synthesized from plant chemicals and their molecular structure is identical to the hormones that are produced by the human body. Hormone Therapy is designed to replenish the body's declining hormone levels and help you reclaim that youthful appearance and vigor. Through research, we have found that the use of Bio-Identical Hormones and Hormone Replacement Therapies (HRT) can dramatically slow down the signs of aging and help prevent cardiovascular disease and orthopedic injuries.

We offer the following Hormone Replacement Therapies:
- DHEA Restoration Therapy – DHEA is a naturally occurring steroid hormone that is secreted by the adrenal gland and used by the body to produce testosterone and estrogen. DHEA levels begin to drop after the age of 30 and as a result, sex drives tend to decrease. Patients suffering from AIDS, Non-Insulin Reliant Diabetes (Type 2), Kidney Disease and other life-threatening illnesses have often been found to have low levels of DHEA. DHEA Restoration Therapy can bring your DHEA levels back to normal and will help increase your libido, as well as help stave off illness and obesity.
- Bio-Identical Hormones – As discussed above, Bio-Identical Hormones are produced from plant chemicals and are identical in molecular structure to the hormones that your body produces naturally. Bio-Identical Hormone therapy can replenish the hormones that your body needs to function properly. We uses Bio-Identical Hormones to help our patients reduce stress caused by Adrenal Fatigue and ease the effects of Perimenopause, Menopause, and Andropause (male menopause). The introduction of Bio-Identical Hormones will help end hot flashes, cold flashes, night sweats, anxiety, depression, mood swings, memory loss, weight gain and low libido.
- Testosterone Therapy – Testosterone is a male sex hormone that is produced in the testes. The production of testosterone in men helps them maintain bone density, muscle strength, muscle mass, the distribution of fat and red blood cell production. Testosterone is also responsible for increased sex drive and sperm production. As testosterone levels decrease with age, men may experience an increase in body fat, the loss of muscle mass and strength, decreased bone density, memory loss, difficulty concentrating, a low libido and erectile dysfunction. Testosterone Therapy has been shown to improve and in some cases reverse the unpleasant side effects of low testosterone levels.
- Estrogen Replacement Therapy – Estrogen and Progesterone are the primary female sex hormones and they are produced in the ovaries. These hormones are crucial to regulating a woman’s menstrual cycle. When the production of these hormones decreases with age as a woman moves towards menopause, her skin may become saggy, the bones are weakened, and the risk for arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) increases. The introduction of estrogen in the form of Estrogen Replacement Therapy can help women fight these signs of aging, as well as prevent other side effects commonly related to menopause, including night sweats and hot flashes. However, because Estrogen Replacement Therapy can, on its own, lead to an increased risk for breast and uterine cancers, progesterone is often administered with estrogen.
- Human Growth Hormone (HCH) - Growth hormones are produced in the pituitary gland and help stimulate childhood growth. HCH is also responsible for maintaining tissue and organ health. As we age, production of the human growth hormone slows significantly, resulting in loss of bone density, decreased muscle mass, increased body fat, loss of energy, decreased sex drive, and saggy skin. The introduction of HCH can reverse the biological effects of aging and help patients maximize their capacity for physical and mental performance.
- Thyroid Hormone Replacement Therapy – Thyroid hormones are produced in the thyroid gland, which is regulated by the pituitary gland. Thyroid hormones are used by the body to regulate and control the metabolism in your body’s cells. Hypothyroidism is a condition wherein the thyroid fails to produce enough hormones. Symptoms of Hypothyroidism include fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, cold intolerance, muscle cramping, decreased libido, abnormal menstrual cycles, and dry skin. Thyroid replacement therapy is closely monitored by Dr. Mark to ensure that you are receiving the proper amount of the hormone for your body to function properly.
