DIVYA AYURVEDA SPA- AT LEELA KEMPINSKI-KOVALAM BEACH

Divya Spa has 604 Sq. Mtr which have eight treatment rooms which are one couple room with Steam bath, one Traditional Kalari massage (Signature Massage room) and six Traditional ayurvedic massage room with shower facilities.

Our Yoga Studio has 130 Sq. Mtr, which we can accommodate at a time 25 guest for Group yoga sessions. Also one to one yoga sessions available up on request from well qualified yoga instructor.

Our Ayurveda Spa manager Mr. Sunil Raj started his career in this Ayurveda/yoga /Spa industry after his graduation as Ayurveda panchakarma therapist in Ananda in the Himalayas at Rishikesh for three years, and then Moved to Canadian based company called Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Maldives for around Six years as supervisor and Assistant Spa manager in various properties. Then he got a chance to work with another international chain hotel called Intercontinental Hotel group in Athens, Greece as Spa manager. Then later on he moves to the Leela Kempinski Kovalam beach as Spa manager from June 2011 on wards.

Divya Spa has three Ayurveda Doctors, two male and one female Doctor. All the doctors have bachelor's degree in Ayurveda medicine and surgery. Senior doctor Dr Binu has more than 8 yrs of experience in the industry and Dr Vipin have more than six yrs of experience. Our lady Doctor Dr Harsha have more than 2 yrs experience in the field and take care of our female guests and also she specialises in female health conditions.

The Spa has 20 medically trained male and female therapists who have done certificate courses in Ayurveda panchakarma and massage courses. Lady guests are attended by lady therapists and male for gentlemen.

The Ayurvedic programmes offered at Divya range from one to 28 days. Guests spending a short time at The Leela Kovalam Beach Resort can indulge in:

• The Ayurvedic de-stress programme – One-day package
• Ayurvedic detox and de-stress programme – Two-day package
• Ayurveda refreshment programme – Three-day package

For those wishing to prolong their relaxation or relief from an ailment, the five to 28 day programmes are split in two categories, with category one focussing on wellness and preventative treatments and category two focussing on therapeutic and curative programmes. Each programme is available for five, seven , 14 , 21 and 28 days.

Within category one, guests can choose from the following programmes:

• Purification and detoxification
• Spine and neck care
• Stress and strain relief
• Skin and beauty care
• Body slimming
• Aphrodisiac therapy

Whilst category two covers the following treatment programmes:

• Diabetes and hypertension
• Allergic disorders
• Arthritis
• Post pregnancy and gynaecological
• Other ailments

All Ayurvedic treatment programmes at The Leela Kovalam Beach Resort are strictly personalised following an in-depth consultation with the Divya spa's resident doctor. All the treatment programme prices are inclusive of one-to-one consultations with the Ayurvedic doctor, herbal medicines for the duration of the treatment and a daily 90 minute therapeutic Ayurvedic treatments. In addition, special dietary options to contribute to the success of the programmes are also available.

Running alongside the spa treatment packages, guests can complement their therapies with yoga and meditation taught on an individual, group or three, seven and 14 day course basis.

The spa also boasts signature treatments, which guests can enjoy individually in the signature treatment room. These massages are based on the ancient Kalari massages of Kerala and include the:

• Chavutti Thirummu

All treatments can be pre-booked at the spa before travel or on arrival at the property. For the longer treatment packages, guests should contact the hotel to book prior to arrival.

• Person sharing the room and not availing treatment would be charged a meal supplement of Rs.2300/- per night including buffet Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at the Terrace Restaurant additional to the Single rate

Room Upgrade Supplements and extra bed rates:

• Upgrade to Beach View Room at Rs 1500 + 17.65% Tax per night
• Upgrade to Club Room at Rs 4000 + 17.65% Tax per night.
